On the Water in Chicago

Eventually, I think Chicago will be the most beautiful great city left in the world. – Frank Lloyd Wright

A couple of weeks ago, I took some vacation, beginning with a family reunion in Chicago.  Normally, I prefer the architecture of the great outdoors, but you can’t really visit Chicago and not be inspired by the grandeur of its skyline and the historic facades of its many grand edifices.

An architectural boat tour is a great way to see and learn about the history of Chicago reflected in the myriad ways the world’s top architects have left their stamp on this city.

Beats walking too.  I’ve thrown in some nighttime shots from the roof of the new Loews Hotel for good measure.
